Serum V's Ampoule V's Essence

There are a tonnes of products out there called Essence, Serum and Ampoule and it can sometimes confuse us when making the right choice.
I hear you ask; what's are difference between them? Do I need to use all of them in my skincare routine?

In the long run, they all serve the same purpose - To accelerate your skincare with the benefits of various concentrated ingredients, however there are certain differences between them.

Essence: Generally speaking, Essence is water based with a lightweight texture. Essence' main focus is on super charged hydration for your skin. Although some brands add other ingredients such as vitamins and acids to target skin problems, the main effect is deep moisturising. If you have dry skin, simply adding essence before moisturising will definitely boost up your hydration level. Two of my favourites are Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner and Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence

Serum has a slightly heavier texture than Essence and offers more targeted results.
They are made up of smaller molecules to moisturiser, helping to penetrate deep into your skin and deliver a high concentration of ingredients. They are great tool for your skincare armour, targeting issues like wrinkles, acne, pigmentation, irritation or signs of ageing. Dr. Jart+ have a number of serums including Ceramidin™ and the all new Peptidin™ Range. The silky texture of the Peptidin™ Blue Firming Serum absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling smoother than ever while the Peptidin™ Pink Radiance Serum is like a hangover cure for your skin, instantly hydrating and revitalising your skin with 8 peptides. Find what serum is the best for your skin concern!

Ampoules are a supercharged serum with higher concentrated active ingredients and are extremely potent, with a more viscous texture. Ampoule are made specifically for targeting skin in crisis, containing 1 or 2 compact ingredients to fix in a fast, efficient way. If your skin needs a quick boost in a short time period it's well worth to try! Two to look out for are CNP Propolis Energy Ampoule and Pyunkang Yul Moisture Ampoule.

Daily moisturising creams have bigger molecules to protect your outer skin so it's hard to reach deep into the inner skin layer. That's what Essence, Serum, and Ampoules are designed for. Adding the right products to your daily skin routine, definitely sets you on the road to healthier, younger looking skin.
